Congratulations, graduate! We are excited to walk with you in this next season of life. When you graduate from college or are no longer a full-time student taking 12 or more credit hours per semester, you are now ready to transition from being an Adult Dependent on your parents' Membership and onto your own.
Per our Sharing Guidelines, we consider an Adult Dependent Child "An unmarried person, upon verification, from the age of twenty (20) through twenty-six (26) years of age that is: (i) a full-time student; (ii) assigned to a multi-month church- related mission or internship; or (iii) actively discerning the priesthood or religious life."
If none of these categories apply to you anymore, it's time for your own Membership! It is an easy process to make this transition, and we can do it with no break in eligibility, so that you can maintain continuous Membership eligibility. If you are graduating in the Spring Semester, and you were a full-time student in the months of April or May, then your Adult Dependent eligibility is presumed through the last day of August (Sharing Guidelines Section V-D.2). If you are graduating in the Fall Semester, then your Adult Dependent eligibility is presumed through the last day of December.
In order to begin the process of transitioning onto your own Membership, please fill out the Membership Roll-Off Form linked HERE.
